IROQUOIS POINT (HawaiiNewsNow) - An Iroquois Point resident accused of trying to kill his wife and then barricading himself in his home is in Honolulu police custody awaiting charges.

Officers arrested Jacob Wilder, 28, on suspicion of second-degree attempted murder and first-degree terroristic threatening. Police say he was armed with a knife and threatened officers when they responded to his home on 110th Street Sunday night.

His 25-year-old wife was eventually released from the residence and treated for knife wounds.

Investigators say an officer fired his weapon at Wilder when he allegedly made a move towards the officer. Police later used non-lethal bullets and a Taser gun to subdue the suspect, who was treated for minor injuries and arrested.
