HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Monsanto is quitting its seed-corn farm in Hanapepe, Kauai. Pacific Business News says four full-timers and other workers are affected. Monsanto still operates on Oahu, Molokai and Maui. Monsanto is richly profitable but its biggest product, roundup, has been losing sales to a cheaper weedkiller made in China.
