HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Let's take a look at some of the Good Things in the news...

In Germany, a frightening moment for a sportscaster covering a soccer match. Jessica Kastrop was in the middle of a pre-game broadcast when she was hit in the head by a soccer ball. Amazingly, she continued talking for five more minutes until she was off the air. The good thing is she is okay and the team brought her flowers and a special goalie hat to protect her from future flying soccer balls.

Hollywood start Sandra Bullock took part in the ribbon-cutting for a new health clinic yesterday in New Orleans. Five years after Hurricane Katrina, health services are still badly needed in this area of the city. Bullock not only personally donated funds, but also helped in fundraising for the clinic. The Oscar-winning actress has ties to the area. Her adopted son was born in New Orleans.

And a Happy Birthday wish to Tuan Tuan and Yuan Yuan. The Giant Panda couple celebrated their sixth birthday with a special birthday party for them at the Taipei Zoo. A special bamboo-based cake, with an ice-carved 6, was decorated with candles made of sugar cane and carrots. The Panda couple was a gift to Taiwan from Mainland China back in 2008.
