Aloha Festival opening ceremony set for September 2

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - September starts this years Aloha Festivals. The festival, which showcases many of Hawaii's music, dance and history has officially begun. This years theme, Mele 'Ailana: Celebrate Island Music.

With the opening ceremony being held on, Thursday, September 2 at 5 p.m., there will be a showing of traditional hula and chant to introduce the Royal Court. Opening ceremony is at Royal Hawaiian Center's Royal Grove. Many events to follow with admission free and open to public.
