Four new judges sworn in on Oahu

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Oahu has four new district court judges after a swearing-in ceremony late Wednesday afternoon. Sheri Ann L Iha, Steven M Nakashima, Michael K Tanigawa and Matthew J Viola took the oath of office in  the courtroom of the Hawaii Supreme Court.

Chief Justice Ronald Moon administered the oath to the new judges as Associate Justice Mark Recktenwald looked on. Recktenwald was appointed by Governor Linda Lingle to replace Moon, who is retiring next month.
