Hawaii anti-abortion group support King and Finnegan in Lt. Gov race

HONOLULU (AP) - Hawaii Right to Life is backing both candidates for the Republican nomination for lieutenant governor. Honolulu attorney Adrienne King on Friday announced she had won the group's endorsement.

The organization had previously announced that it was backing state Representative Lynn Finnegan of Mapunapuna and Foster Village. It also is backing Sen. Norman Sakamoto in the race for the Democratic nomination for lieutenant governor.

However, the group's endorsement of Sakamoto came with reservations because he would allow abortions in cases of rape, incest, and when the life of the mother is threatened.
