POHAKULOA TRAINING AREA, Hawaii (HawaiiNewsNow) - Check out this video sent in from the Pohakuloa brushfire on the Big Island. That is a fire whirl caught on tape! This extreme fire phenomenon happens when the winds are just right with low humidity and notice it's clockwise circulation.

Normally twisters like this spin counter clockwise. The fire has now been burning for five days, and is still just 60% contained. More than 1,300 acres have been scorched.
