SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, PA (HawaiiNewsNow) - It was do or die, and the Waipio little leaguers did.

Hawaii staved off elimination from the Little League World Series by beating Georgia on Thursday and avenging a loss from their LLWS opener.

One day after getting only a single hit, Hawaii got 10 of them en route to a 7-4 win.

Justice Nakagawa did it at the plate, hitting a pinch-hit, three-run home run in the 3rd inning, extending Hawaii's lead to 5-0, while Noah Shackles did it on the mound, striking out nine in 5 2/3 innings.

Hawaii will play Georgia for a third time Friday morning, 8am Hawaii time, with the winner going to the US final on Saturday to take on Texas.

The International final will pit Japan against Chinese Taipei.
