Turns out it was an overzealous fan that snuck on to Sly's L.A. estate and tried to score an impromptu meet-and-greet with the star.

A slightly longer Avatar opens in theaters Friday. Nine minutes longer. He said "When we were doing this, we didn't know how long an audience could sit in a seat with 3D glasses on their faces' there was no data for a movie over two hours. So we were way out into frontier land and, you know, there was a possibility that peoples' eyeballs might have melted at the two-hour mark. ... We wound up taking out like 45 minutes out of the film.
