HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - William Holbron Junior stole from vehicles in Windward Oahu. Now he is in trouble with Honolulu police for a different crime.

A police officer spotted a man in the parking lot of the Kailua Macy's at about 7:15 a.m. on November 26, 2008. He recognized Holbron from previous incidents.

"Saw him approach the bed of a pickup truck that was parked and remove an item from the back. By the time the officer was able to circle around, Holbron got into a red GMC and fled toward Lanikai," said Kim Buffett of CrimeStoppers.

The officer contacted others who happened to be conducting surveillance near the Kailua boat ramp.

"Observed him pull in and park his truck. They watched him as he approached an orange Mini Cooper that was parked and reach into the passenger side window and remove a bag," said Buffett.

Police stopped Holbron before he could leave the parking lot. They searched his vehicle and found the stolen bag.

"The complainant, in the meantime, that owned the Cooper came to the officers and stated that her car was parked locked and that the window was not shattered when she parked it, and that that was her bag," Buffett said.

Officers arrested Holbron, 36, for unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle. He was also busted for the theft from the pickup truck in the Macy's parking lot. Now he is wanted for a $20,000 warrant for violating his HOPE probation.

"He has four prior convictions and they're for terroristic threatening and abuse, and he's known to frequent the Kaneohe, Kapolei, Windward areas," said Buffett.

Holbron is described as 5'11" and 292 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.

"He does have tattoos on his body that say Billyboy, Capone and Bill Holbron," said Buffett.
