Honolulu mayoral candidates to meet at forum

HONOLULU (AP) - Three candidates for Honolulu mayor are set to discuss their campaigns before a group representing commercial real estate developers.

Acting Mayor Kirk Caldwell, former Honolulu Prosecutor Peter Carlisle and engineer Panos Prevedouros are scheduled to meet on Thursday, starting at 7:45 a.m., at the Pacific Club on Queen Emma Street.

The Hawaii chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties will host the forum.

A spokesman for the group could not say why Councilman Rod Tam or four lesser-known candidates will not attend the forum.
