HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Sacred Hearts Academy was back in session for the first time Tuesday since eighth grader Saundra Cass and her mother Kristine were murdered in their Makiki home. Grief counselors are available this week, for students to share their feelings and concerns.
The academy will hold a memorial mass for Saundra and Kristine on Friday, September 3 at 8:00 AM. The two were shot to death Friday morning. Police say the gunman; former National Guardsman Clayborne Conley then shot himself.
Wednesday, a silent march in honor of Saundra and Kristine Cass -will be held at the State Capitol, beginning at 5:00 PM.
