HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - For years, NASA has chosen songs to wake up the Astronauts from their slumber; a tradition that has held since the 60ʻs....and with the end of the Shuttle program approaching, NASA will let the public choose the songs for the last two shuttle missions.  Israel Kamakawiwoʻole is amongst those whose songs have been heard in space.

Martin Short's wife, Nancy Dolman, has died. She was 58. Short's manager said Monday that Short's wife of 30 years had died but provided no cause of death or any additional details.

A porcelain toilet used by John Lennon between 1969 and 1972 is among the 303 lots going up for auction Saturday at the 33rd annual Beatle Week Festival in Liverpool. Likely having more significance to collectors: a rare mono copy of the 1968 release Two Virgins, recorded by Lennon with Yoko Ono, and featuring full frontal and backside nudity of the couple on the front and back of the album, a feature that required the record to be sold in a brown paper wrapper back in the day.
