HONOLULU (AP) - The League of Women Voters of Hawaii is offering political candidates space on its website to describe themselves and why voters should support them.
The nonpartisan group is offering the information on its website because the state Office of Elections can no longer provide it due to budget cuts.
Candidates for federal, state and local offices can submit a statement of up to 250 words and a picture to the League, which will then post them.
The primary election is September 18. The general election is November 2.
