Downtown water main break fixed

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Officials with the Board of Water Supply say that a water main break in downtown Honolulu was fixed Saturday morning, allowing all lanes of Ala Moana Boulevard to reopen.

Multiple lanes of Ala Moana Boulevard were closed all day Friday after a 12-inch water main ruptured early Friday morning, causing some flooding and severe damage to the roadway.

Both the Federal Building and the Coast Guard station were without water for most of the morning, but service was restored around noon.  Repairs to the water main were completed at 8:30 PM Friday
