3.7 quake strikes Big Island

HILO, Hawaii (HawaiiNewsNow) – An earthquake measuring 3.7 in magnitude struck near Hilo Wednesday morning, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS). The quake occurred at 11:52 AM.

The epicenter of the quake was 24 miles south of Hilo, about 10 miles south of the Fern Forest neighborhood, in the vicinity of Chain of Craters Road. The epicenter of the quake was at a depth of 5.8 miles.
