HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A slew of iconic props, costumes, set pieces and memorabilia from Lost will be up for grabs this weekend at a two-day auction in Santa Monica, California. The sale, encompassing more than 1,000 lots, is expected to generate more than $1 million.   Fans and collectors from 33 countries have registered for the sale. Bidding begins at 11am HST on Saturday and Sunday, and can be done in person, by phone, fax or Internet.

Among the big-ticket items, the blue Volkswagen bus known on the show as the "Dharma van" is expected to fetch between $8,000-$12,000. The red Camaro driven by Jorge Garcia's Hurley character is estimated at $15,000-$25,000. The 11-foot piece of airline wreckage (complete with Oceanic's circular logo) is priced at $3,000-$5,000 to start.

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Hawaii-based charities in recognition of the show's six-seasons of filming in the Aloha State.
