How would you like to wear a pair of socks made of bamboo? An Ohio closing company has made them and says they are good for the environment. That's because the carbon "footprint" is small and no chemicals are added. The company promises the socks will keep your feet dry and prevent odor.
With the UH football season coming up soon, good news for Aloha Stadium. The Halawa Stadium Complex will receive $17 million to complete its on-going renovation. Of that money, $14.5 million will pay for the replacement of the metal roof deck and lighting transformers. The remaining money will be used to replace the field's playing surface. But that won't be done until next football season. Go Warriors!
She brought sports into the homes of Hawaii fans for a decade.. and was a pioneer in our industry as the state's first female sports director. We're happy to announce that Liz Chun will soon be back on the air. You'll see Liz next Tuesday for the "Na Koa Bowl" telethon to raise money for the UH football team. And coming this fall, Liz will again host the Coach Mack Show beginning August 29th. Liz also has a new job working at Pali Momi Medical Center as the Director of Fundraising.
