HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Let's take a look at some of the Good Things in the news...

The kids from Pearl City High School just took third place at Hurley's "Walk the Walk" fashion and dance contest. They were on Sunrise just last week. Schools from all over the nation battled it out over the weekend in Huntington Beach, California. Pearl City took the Converse "Punk Your Chucks" prize, earning $2,000 for their school's arts program.

The Cliff Diving World Series was held in Italy over the weekend. About 45,000 fans gathered to see eleven divers compete. The winning dive started as a handstand 86 feet up, continued with two and a half somersaults and a one and a half twist. The 26 year old Russian diver then hit the water at around 56 miles per hour.

Move over Martha Stewart, a woman in Ukraine is the new queen of the kitchen. Check out what this woman can carve out of fruit and vegetables. She can sculpt everything from intricate flowers and birds to portraits of the Russian president. Her favorite food to use is watermelon. But she has to act fast. Each masterpiece only lasts a few days until it rots.
