Several local hospitals make the switch to green lights

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Four local non-profit hospitals are going green. Kapiolani Medical, Pali Momi, Straub and Wilcox on Kauai are switching to LED lights.

These lights are cooler, so the hospitals won't need to use as much air conditioning.

Plus, it will help the environment.

The switch is supposed to save them more than a million dollars each year, and help reduce their carbon footprint.
