Hawaii surfers on the hunt for national title

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. (HawaiiNewsNow) - Two Hawaii surfers are still in contention at the U.S. Open of Surfing in California.

Maui's Granger Larsen posted the best result of his young career, advancing to the round of 16.

Oahu's Carissa Moore also shredded ahead. She's now in the semi-finals. The contests wrap up on Sunday.
