Nâ Palapalai and George Kahumoku - Saturday August 7, 2010
Nâ Palapalai and George Kahumoku will double headline, supported by the Royal Hawaiian Band, ukulele whiz Taimane Gardner, Waipuna, the Galliard String Quartet, and Hâlau Hula Ka No'eau, led by kumu hula Michael Pili Pang. The realm of Wao Lani represents the gods, the ali'i and key moments in Hawaiian history, so the subtitle of the evening will be "The Queen's Songbook" as classic Hawaiian songs and monarchy music ring out from all three stages. Samadhi Hawaii will bring aerial dancing to accompany the headlining Nâ Palapalai.
