PAHOA, Hawaii (HawaiiNewsNow) - Big Island police say they've broken up a crystal meth ring. Police officers arrested two men and a woman on Monday night.
Later that day vice officers charged 30-year-old Joshua Kaahu of Honolulu, 33-year-old Shane Ducuycuy of Glenwood and 18-year-old Crystal Olivar of Keaau with first-degree methamphetamine trafficking, promotion of a dangerous drug, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Puna police stopped a vehicle on Monday on Pahoa Village Road. A search warrant was attained after a police canine team detected narcotics. Police say they recovered 52 grams of ice, glass pipes and nearly $2,000 in cash.
A judge set bail at $275,000 for Kaahu, $125,000 for Ducuycuy and $57,000 for Olivar.
