HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Mufi Hannemann is leading the money race. The new campaign spending report out Monday says the former Honolulu mayor has raised more than $2.4-million.
More than $800,000 of that was collected in the first half of this year.
The Republican front runner, Duke Aiona, has collected more than $2.3-million and the man who's been leading the polls, Neil Abercrombie, has raised a little more than $2-million.
Kirk Caldwell has raised the most money in the Honolulu mayor's race, with nearly $580,000.
Peter Carlisle has $290,000 and Panos Prevedouros has $36,000.
Rod Tam's numbers weren't available.
Monday was the reporting deadline for candidates' fundraising through the first six months of this year.
The next report is due on September 8.
