HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - He led the University of Hawaii through some of it's greatest seasons, and he led the Redskins through some exciting pre-season games. But as of today the former warrior Colt Brennan will be looking for a new lease on his life in the NFL.
"You know it's sad because I always have this expectation that this would be home for me and this would be a place I'd be for a number of years. And I was surprised," said Colt Brennan.
" They said some really positive things in the sense of you know...this isn't something to where you played bad and we're getting rid of you. It's just a situation arose that we had for a long time and we had to jump on it. We wanted to give you an opportunity to at least have a chance...and they said you have what it takes to play in this league. This franchise has been great to me, the fans have been great to me, it's just sad," said Brennan.
What's next for Brennan will be a 24 hour waiting period in which another team has a chance to pick up his rights. After that, Brennan will be able to contact other teams on his own.
