KAILUA-KONA, Hawaii (HawaiiNewsNow) - Police say a 20-year-old man died when he crashed in Kailua-Kona on Palani Road. It happened at 12:45 AM Friday.
Chayson Matsuoka's car ran off the side of the road and tumbled 150 feet down an embankment. He was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the car.
His passenger was wearing a seatbelt and received only minor injuries. Police believe speed and alcohol were factors.
