HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Let's take a look at some of the Good Things in the news...

Looking for fun on the west-side this weekend? Check out the "Journey to Scotland Kickoff Concert and Fun Day" at Nanakuli High School, Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm. The fundraiser will help raise money to send students to the Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland in August. There will be food booths, games and live music.

The running of the bulls is a Spanish tradition, but in Washington DC, the annual "Running of the Brides" was held at a local bridal gown store. The frugal brides-to-be snatched up designer gowns at clearance prices and some of them formed teams to help gather and find the perfect dresses.  No major injuries were reported, but as you can see it was dangerous out there.

Seventy year-old pop singer Tom Jones is going for another record. His 40th album of blues and gospel songs called "Praise and Blame" is number one on the charts in Britain. Jones edged "Eminem" from the number one spot and if he stays there for at least a week, the "Feisty Welshman" will be the oldest male musician to have a number one album. Jones' hits include "It's Not Unusual", "What's New Pussycat" and "She's A Lady".
