Local residents will have the opportunity to explore the best of the Ranch with the launch of a new package geared toward kama‘aina. Guests can choose one water-based and one land-based activity. Choices include the Hawaiian Fishpond & Garden, Ocean Voyaging, Jungle Expedition and Movie Sites & Ranch tours. The 25th Anniversary Special package is offered for just $30 per person, offering a savings of 30 percent off rack rates.

"We've always offered kama'aina rates; however, this year, we are celebrating our 25th year of offering activities and we wanted to offer something extra special to our local residents," said President and General Manager John Morgan. "The new package is just one small way we can say mahalo to Hawai‘i residents for their support over the years."

The 25th Anniversary Special package allows guests to package one water and one land-based activity for a half-day of fun at the Ranch. Guests can choose from:

Water-Based Activities:

• Hawaiian Fishpond and Garden Tour – This one-hour tour takes guests on an exploration of the rich natural history of the ranch through lush fields of tropical flowers, fruit trees and gardens and out to the 125-acre ancient Moli‘i Fishpond for a scenic boat tour.

• Ocean Voyaging – Guests board a 49-passenger catamaran for a sail into beautiful Kaneohe Bay, past famous Mokoli‘i Island (Chinaman's Hat) and Hokule‘a Beach, the ceremonial home of Hawai‘i's first modern replica of an ancient sailing canoe.

Land-Based Activities:

• Jungle Expedition Tour- Guests take a 6-wheel-drive Swiss Pinzgauer and rumble along jungle trails and up a lush, remote valley for fantastic ocean and mountain views. This back-country adventure tour maneuvers through isolated streambeds, powers up hills and tackles rough terrain as it ventures to secluded spots overlooking the dramatic windward coastline.

• Movie Sites & Ranch Tour – Guests board buses for a one-hour narrated tour across Kualoa Ranch and into gorgeous Ka‘a‘awa Valley to experience where many of Hollywood's biggest blockbuster movies and television shows have been filmed, including Jurassic Park, Godzilla, 50 First Dates and Lost.

Subject to availability, the 25th Anniversary Special package is available now through December 31, 2010. Tours are offered from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily; the Visitors Center is open daily from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. For reservations for more information, call (808) 237-7321 or visit www.kualoa.com.

Established in 1850, Kualoa Ranch is located on 4,000 acres along O‘ahu's northeastern coast. Family owned and operated, its mission is to serve as a role model as a steward of the land by preserving, protecting and enhancing Hawai‘i's natural beauty and culture, while also developing recreational and agricultural enterprises that are compatible with the environment.
