Councilmember Tam files for mayoral run

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - He's under criminal investigation for making errors on his city reimbursement forms, but Honolulu City Councilmember Rod Tam isn't giving up his political ambitions. The district six representative filed papers Wednesday to run for Honolulu mayor, but declined to comment about the investigation.

The special election will be held on the same day as the primary, September 18.
