HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Let's take a look at some of the Good Things in the news...

The NBA's first Taiwanese-American player took a trip to Taiwan to help kids and further the basketball game in Asia. Jeremy Lin talked about his future with the Golden State Warriors who signed him on July 21st. The 21 year-old point guard from California said he wants to teach basketball to children in urban Chinese communities.

Wine lovers can get a special taste of France in this unique Paris wine school. The school is in a cellar.. and a tunnel connects it to the Louvre Museum. The tunnel was used as an escape route for King Louis XV in the days when the museum hosted the King's court. The cellar is the perfect temperature for storing wine and since it's cool inside, students flock there in the summer months.

And good news for animal lovers in Spain. The Catalonia region of the country has outlawed bull-fighting due to animal cruelty. That makes it the first Spanish province to ban bull-fighting with a local parliamentary vote. This comes after 180,000 citizens signed a petition from an anti-bull-fighting group.
