HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - UPDATE: Caroline Kaina was arrested on August 6 in Kaaawa.

Caroline Kaina broke into a rental car after a fight with her boyfriend. She got jail time for that crime, but now she is in trouble again.

A witness camping at Kualoa Beach Park heard yelling coming from the restroom area on June 24, 2010. A woman was arguing with her boyfriend, and her shirt was torn during the fight.

"When he turned, he observed the female pick up a rock and throw it at the driver's side window of a parked vehicle which was a convertible Mustang," explained Kim Buffett of CrimeStoppers.

Police said the woman took clothing from the rental car, went into the bathroom, and came out wearing the stolen items.

"He walked her watch down to the beach, called the police, and gave her identification and location. He recognized her from a previous occasion," Buffett said.

Officers located the woman, who was identified as Kaina.

"The owners of the vehicle had come back to the car and realized that their drivers window was smashed," said Buffett. "Talked to the police, observed the female, and identified the clothing that she was wearing as items taken from their vehicle."

Police arrested the 25-year-old woman for unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle. Authorities said Kaina spent about a month behind bars at the Oahu Community Correctional Center.

"She has four prior convictions and they are for auto theft, thefts, driving without a license, and liquor violation," said Buffett.
