Waimalu veterinary clinic burglarized

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – According to Pearl City police, burglars have targeted several Waimalu businesses recently. Early Monday morning, a vet hospital in the Waimalu Shopping center had been broken into.

Police responded to an alarm at 4:00 AM but left the scene after finding nothing suspicious. Officers were called back to the clinic around 4:30 PM for a second alarm and found the clinic's back door pried open.

As they investigated the scene, they found the clinic's alarm wires were cut. Cash and a laptop were stolen from the clinic but no animals were hurt.
