A new burger restaurant in Frisco, Texas had a burger eating contest to celebrate their opening. One man was able to eat a 7 pound, 7,000 calorie burger in less than an hour. The winner finished everything but the bread on the "El Jefe Grande" burger. That was still enough for the top prize in the debut of "Kenny's Burger Joint".
Parents, are you looking for something fun and educational for the kids? Head to the Waikiki Aquarium for a new teaching tool called the "Wet Table". It allows kids to learn about underwater life through touch. They can interact with hermit crabs and sea urchins. The Wet Table is available to the 18,000 Hawaii school children who visit the aquarium every year AND it's portable. So look for it at a school near you.
And while it wasn't as great as he hoped, local boy Dean Wilson did have a good weekend. The Castle High School grad was in the lead at the Canadian Open for most of Sunday afternoon. But after a series of bogeys, Dean ended up in second place at 13 under for the tournament. Wilson was cheered up by the check he was presented for his "next best" performance.. $550,000.
