Hawaiian Humane Society offers special on dog adoptions, microchips

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) –An influx of dogs has the Humane Society over its capacity. They are offering a summer special to help these dogs find good, permanent homes. The Hawaiian Humane Society has taken in over 50 dogs and will be cutting the adoption fee in half for dogs six months and older.

Thursday through Sunday, they will be allowing prospective owners to take a dog home for a $32.50 fee. The fee will include neutering, a health examination, a microchip ID, and post adoption healthcare.

The Humane Society is also getting ready for Microchip Madness. In partnership with over 20 veterinarian offices, $5 microchips are being offered for all pets during the month of August.
