HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Homeland security has chosen 28 airports for new advanced imaging technology. One of them is Honolulu International. Others are San Francisco and Seatac. The new technology will mean more local security jobs.
Continental Airlines reports second quarter revenue was up 19 percent from last year and it made a profit of $233 million. Revenue rose twice as much as the fuel bill did.
Go-Mokulele reports traffic in June was down 15 percent from last year's levels, but due to a similar scaling back of capacity, Go still flew 71 percent full.
Wine Spectator magazine has its best-ofs for the year, and a Big Island restaurant made the list. Monette's Artisan Fish and Steak, at the Mauna Kea Beach Resort.
