WAIKIKI (HawaiiNewsNow) – The lead singer for the R&B vocal group "Color Me Badd" is facing misdemeanor abuse of family charges in Honolulu. Police say 40-year-old Bryan Abrams grabbed his wife, 34-year-old Kimberly Abrams, threw her across a room and slapped her. She suffered a cut on the leg.
Police were called to the Embassy Suites Hotel in Waikiki around 6:00 PM Tuesday night. Abrams was later released on his own recognizance. The band, who had a number of hit singles in the early 1990s, was in Hawaii last weekend for a performance at the Blaisdell Center.
Abrams was also arrested in Oklahoma City in September 2008 for allegedly punching a woman in the face.
