WAIKIKI (HawaiiNewsNow) - After a 17 hour manhunt, Honolulu police have captured an attempted murder suspect in Waikiki, a businessman accused of trying to kill his business partner.

Hawaii News Now was there just after 8:00 PM Monday as police handcuffed David Silverman near the Fort DeRussy Army Museum.

Sources say he's the co-owner of 24-7 towing in Waipahu. Police say at about 1:00 AM Monday Silverman allegedly stabbed David Davis at his Third Street home in Pearl City and then set his house on fire, all in a dispute over money.

Paramedics rushed Davis to the hospital in critical condition.

Davis is no stranger to police. Sources say he was involved in a police standoff at 24-7 tow yard in October. Police were called to the area after people heard gunshots. Police arrested Davis after an eight hour standoff.
