HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Another special election could be in the works. Mayor Mufi Hanneman plans to resign next week to run for Governor.
And City Prosecutor Peter Carlisle will also give up his job, for a bid in the mayoral race.
The City Council will meet next Thursday to decide when it'll hold a special election to fill both positions.
It could either be in conjunction with the September 18th primary election, or the general election on November 2.
