Four Honolulu District Court judges appointed

HONOLULU (AP) - State Supreme Court Chief Justice Ronald TY Moon has appointed four Honolulu District Court judges. Moon announced Wednesday that Sherri-Ann L. Iha, Steven M Nakashima, Michael K Tanigawa and Matthew J Viola will succeed Judges Karen Radius, Kenneth Enright, Edwin Nacino and R. Mark Browning.

Iha is currently a supervising deputy prosecuting attorney in the Honolulu city prosecutor's office. Nakashima is a partner with Marr Jones & Wang. Tanigawa has been a staff attorney with the state Intermediate Court of Appeals since 2008.

Viola has been with The Law Office of Matthew J Viola since 2002, handling employment law and general civil litigation cases. He has served as a part-time district judge since 2002.
