HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The FBI is asking for the public's help in locating an Oahu couple who failed to appear for sentencing after being convicted of fraud. 34-year-old John and 32-year-old Julieanne Dimitrion plead guilty to operating a fraud scheme in April 2009 in which several Oahu families lost their homes.

The Dimitrions were scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday for sentencing but never showed up. Since there are no records of the couple flying off Oahu, the FBI believes the couple is being hidden by family or friends. They were last seen at a church service at Mililani Recreation Center Friday night. Their last known address was at 819 Moaniala Street on Hawaii Loa Ridge.

John Michael Dimitrion is 5'7" tall, 200 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.  He is said to have expensive tastes in sports cars, clothing, jewelry and high-end personal electronics. Julieanne Baldueza Dimitrion is 4'11" tall, weighs 150 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. The FBI says that Ms. Dimitrion has a taste for expensive clothing, designer purses and shoes.

The Dimitrions were convicted of operating a fraud scheme in which they used their companies to convince distressed homeowners to give up their homes with the promise of improving the victims' financial position.  They promised to invest the proceeds of the home sales, but they instead used the victims' money to fund their own lavish lifestyles. Several families on Oahu lost their homes as a result of the Dimitrions crimes.

Anyone recognizing the Dimitrions or having information as to their current location is asked to call the Honolulu FBI at 808-566-4300.
