HALEIWA (HawaiiNewsNow) – Ocean Safety officials posted shark warning signs at Alii Beach Park on Oahu's North Shore for several hours Wednesday. Lifeguards spotted a 10 foot long tiger shark exhibiting aggressive behavior and made the decision to post the warnings.
The signs were in place from late morning until mid-afternoon, when the advisory was lifted. Lifeguards remind beach-goers to be aware of any unusual activity taking place in the water and to get out of the water immediately if a shark is spotted. Any sightings should be reported by calling 911 and asking for "Ocean Safety".
