HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow)- Both Democrats and Republicans can agree that unemployed Americans need help. They both want to extend jobless benefits. But the two parties differ when it comes on how to fund it. The jobless benefits bill is pending right now in Congress. Republicans want to fund it with unused stimulus funds so they don't have to raise taxes or the deficit. Democrats want to increase taxes on investment and oil companies and their version would increase the deficit. Who's right? Brian Schatz, the spokesman from Obama for Hawaii is here to discuss.
