A team of artists spent 7 months making the model, which will be placed at the front entrance of the museum. At the famous Bird's Nest Stadium in China, a new Guinness World Record was set for the most time spent walking a tight rope. The Chinese acrobat already holds 5 other world records, but that wasn't enough. He spent 5 hours a day, for the last 60 days, walking on a tight rope nearly 200 feet above the stadium floor. In total he spent 198 hours and 33 minutes walking on the wire.
And the kids at 'Iolani School will be marching in their own Fourth of July parade on campus today to honor U-S veterans. The parade will be for an hour starting at 10:30 this morning at the school's football stadium. Members of the "Warriors in Transition" unit, troops wounded in combat and based at Schofield Barracks, and veterans of the 100th Infantry Battalion will be honored as special guests.
