Good Things: June 29, 2010

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - It's that time when we like to bring you our Good Things stories.

Right now in Norway it's National Extreme Sports Week. To celebrate, thousands of sports junkies are in the town of Voss. The annual event gives visitors the chance to try their hand at some of extreme sports, regardless of their age. One example is base jumping; leaping from a helicopter into a steep valley.

If the way to a man's heart is through his stomach, then you may want to check this out. It's called "Tasties" cards. American Greetings has made cards that come with dissolvable strips you can eat, with flavors like donuts and margaritas. Perfect for all occasions, from birthdays to weddings.

And finally, this could cause some tweens to scream. Thirteen year old Maddie Eckardt is like a lot of girls her age; she has Bieber fever. The Wisconsin teen has won a chance to meet singer Justin Bieber. The contest was to see who could enter their email address on a radio station's website the most times over a 48 hour period. Maddie entered hers 17,000 times!
