MANOA (HawaiiNewsNow) - It was an exciting final round of golf at the Oahu Country Club where the 102nd Manoa Cup Tournament was being held. Iolani alum, David Fink knocked off the defending champion, TJ Kua of Kauai in a 36 hole match play round.

A big crowd was on hand to see some spectacular shots. Fink was strong from start to finish, with 7 birdies and an eagle. The match play tournament wrapped up on hole number 29th with Fink winning 8 and 7.

On the 28th hole, both players made eagles. Fink, who is a redshirt freshman at Oregon state, holed out from the bunker. Kua, of Kauai, nailed a 30 foot putt from several feet off the green. Both player exchanged hugs just moments after they both sank their eagles.

"I had that shot luckily early in the morning. I kind of know how to play it, so I went off feel and luckily it went in from the bunker," said Fink, the 2010 Manoa Cup Champion.

"When Fink's shot went in, I said to my caddie, wow. We talked about it, and we said what a way to end a match. Then I went over there to see if I could give everyone some excitement and fortunately my shot went in for eagle too," said Kua, the Manoa Cup defending champion.

Both Fink and Kua say they both plan to take some time to rest over the next couple of months.
