HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The historic battleship Missouri Memorial is extending its hours to accommodate increased demand during the summer season. The Mighty Mo is opening an extra 90 minutes early, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily. The new schedule will last at least until Labor Day. But new hours could become permanent based on the public's response.

In an effort to spread Mahatma Gandhi's message of peace and non-violence, about 255 students in southern India dressed up as the great man of peace. Draped in white robes and sporting fake moustaches and spectacles, they walked along holding bamboo canes. The students were also noted in the Limca Book of Records, which is like the Indian version of the Guinness Book of Records.

A group of men in the Czech Republic have taken to a water sport traditionally restricted to women. Synchronized swimming is an Olympic sport incorporating swimming, dance and gymnastics, but is restricted just to women in international competition. So these "guys" got together to work out and draw attention to their desire of having a men synchronized swimming Olympic event in the future.
