HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A body was found on the beach in Kahala around 6:00 AM Friday morning. No positive identification has yet been made, but it does match the description of a man who disappeared while diving with friends Thursday night.
The report came in just after 10:00 PM last night of a diver missing about 200 yards off of Kahala Beach. Police searched the shoreline using a helicopter for about two hours, but called it off just after midnight.
When the search resumed at first light, a person walking along the beach saw the body floating near shore. Police are working with fire officials to notify the family of the diver.
