On the Market: downtown Honolulu rental

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Location, location, location. We hear that all the time in real estate, and this week we take a look at rental unit right in downtown Honolulu, which is close to pretty much everything. With the revitalization of Chinatown and "First Friday" art scene, the Queen street area is fast becoming a "chic" and convenient place to call home.

So are you tired of spending hours in traffic commuting into downtown Honolulu? Or how about paying hundreds of dollars a month for a parking space? Think about the time, money, and sanity you could save if you live right downtown at the Harbor Court apartment building.

This two bedroom-two bath unit is located on the 14th floor, so you are above a lot of the hustle and bustle of downtown and you clear a lot of the surrounding buildings so you have an amazing view of the State Capitol, Waikiki and the ocean. You can take advantage of the view with a large lanai that is perfect for entertaining at sunset.

Back inside we see an open kitchen that has been re-modeled and has new appliances. The bright living room also has new paint and a window blinds. Just off the living room there is a re-modeled bathroom that is perfect for guests. Another nice feature of this unit that it is on the corner of the building so the two bedrooms are very private and quiet. The master bedroom has it's own master bath that has also been re-modeled.

From the lanai you can also see the buildings pool located on the 7th floor, which is located on the roof of the parking lot. Speaking of parking, everyone knows that parking in downtown Honolulu is an expensive nightmare and this unit comes with your own covered secure parking stall.

"The thing is downtown parking is like what $300 $400 dollars so thing about how much money you can save," said Lurline Johnson of Property Profiles.

So along with the convenience of living downtown the unit has central A-C and most of the utilities are included in the rent, including basic cable T.V.

All of this is offered for rent at $1,950 dollars a month.
