HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - UPDATE: officers arrested Randy Cacpal at about 1:40 PM Tuesday on Queen Emma Street in downtown Honolulu.

His criminal history includes drug offenses and a car break-in and now Randy Cacpal is in trouble with the law again.

August 6, 2007. A 27-year-old woman parked her car at Kamamalu District Park to watch her husband's softball game.

"As she looked at her vehicle, she noticed that a male was exiting and he was carrying her purse that she had left in the front of her vehicle. The husband and a friend gave chase and were able to detain the male until police arrived" said Sgt. Kim Buffett of CrimeStoppers.

Officers identified the thief as Randy Cacpal and arrested him for unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle.

"While being searched, there was a glass pipe with residue found on his person and he was subsequently arrested for promoting dangerous drugs in the third degree and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia."

Another crime also involved crack cocaine.

"He was seen on College Walk sitting on the benches, an officer approached; saw the glass pipe between his legs and a lighter. He was arrested for drugs."

"Seven prior convictions for driving without a license, disorderlies and probation revocations" said Buffett.
