HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Tax Department put out a note that reinterpreted solar panel tax credits so multiple credits could no longer be claimed on multiple systems. Questions about it virtually halted larger solar panel installations. The Tax Department now says multiple systems do qualify for multiple credits if each system has its own separate electrical connection.
There's a one-day expo for convention and meeting planners in Washington this week. The largest one there is...4,000 will attend. The DC area is national headquarters to 3,000 associations.
Hagadone Printing has hired a new president. Clint Schroeder had been a vice president of the Honolulu Advertiser.
North Hawaii Community Hospital, in Waimea/Kamuela on the Big Island, has named Lorrie Mortensen its new vice president of patient care services and chief nursing officer. Mortensen worked with Peace Health on Ketchikan Island, Alaska.
Iolani School has yet again won the National Economics Challenge in New York. The winning team, Andrew Ellison, Jesse Franklin-Murdock, Sean Cockey and Mark Grozen-Smith, who will be joining us on Sunrise Thursday.
